• Studied State and Constitutional Law at VU University Amsterdam.
• Winner of the Max van der Stoel Human Rights Award for the best dissertation in the area of human rights, for his dissertation on the use of secret evidence in immigration law proceedings.
• Prior to being admitted to the bar, worked as a court clerk for the immigration court at the Court of Amsterdam.
• Admitted to the bar at Böhler in 2010.
  
• Member of the immigration law department.
