  • Studied Dutch and international law at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Toronto, Canada.
  • Admitted to the bar in Amsterdam in 2004.
  • Member of the immigration law and the international law & human rights departments.
  • Partner at Böhler since January 2011.

Marieke van Eik regularly gives lectures to lawyers on EU asylum and immigration law, among other topics. She also holds training sessions abroad, to improve the provision of legal assistance to foreign nationals. She is an editor for the periodical Rechtspraak voor Vreemdelingenrecht (juriprudence in the field of immigration law). Furthermore, she is a member of the Advisory Commission on Immigration Law of the Dutch Bar Association.
