Appeals Court in The Hague: prosecution to investigate alleged ill-treatment by Dutch Navy of Somali witness

The Hague, 17 October 2013 - On 16 October 2013 the President of the Appeals Court in The Hague has ordered the Dutch Public Prosecution Service and the Royal Netherlands Constabulary to investigate the alleged ill-treatment by the Dutch Navy of a Somali eleven-year-old witness in the criminal case against a number of alleged Somali pirates. 

Lawyers Göran Sluiter and Michiel Pestman have managed to to find this witness - and others - in Mogadishu, for which the Appeals Court also expressed its thanks.
