Dutch State held liable for torture on Java in 1947

Amsterdam, 22 December 2014 - On 19 December 2014, the Javanese Mr. Yaseman held the Dutch State liable for damages he sustained as a result of torture by Dutch soldiers in 1947. He is represented by lawyers Liesbeth Zegveld and Brechtje Vossenberg.
